A very rare Whieldon type glaze creamware pottery stirrup cup in the form a wolf or fox head.
The cup is well defined with good attention to details such as the snarling mouth and teeth.
Decoration is with coloured oxides and lead glaze with a blue band around the inner rim.
The cup is larger than usual and is one of the rarest and earliest produced in pottery.

Current Condition Unrestored with only minor historical wear.
