A rare pair of Staffordshire pottery pearlware figures of the Flight to and the return from Egypt.
The flight figure shows the baby Jesus whilst the return feature Him as an infant child. Several versions were produced of this popular subject in the early 19th century. This particular pair are very decorative with strong modelling and good enamel colours with an exceptional brightly coloured base.
