A fine pair of Wood and Caldwell pottery pearlware figures of a lions on oblong bases.
This Staffordshire pottery produced some of the best ceramics in earthenware at the beginning of the 19th century. The quality of modelling captures the regal and noble sentiment of the king of the animal kingdom. The figures are a true pair exuding exceptional decorative quality and are impressed under the base WOOD & CALDWELL.
