Staffordshire figure of a standing lion on a faux marble base.
Probably emanates from the Wood family of potters based in Staffordshire.
The figure has a pearlware glaze and a wonderful feature is the mouth of the noble beast which has been given extra attention to detail.
The figure is imposing 12 inches long.
