A good Staffordshire pottery pearlware bust of the inspirational Methodist preacher John Wesley.
The bust is modelled on a blue socle base which gives an unusually strong decorative appeal, some Wesley busts can be a little dour. This example is very well executed with good attention enamel application and modelling.
