Antique Staffordshire figure of Christ about to be taken from the cross by Mary and Joseph. This rare Staffordshire ceramic figure group is very well modelled and decorated in good quality enamels. This figure is usually attributed to be the work from the Walton factory. The figure does have all the key hallmarks of Walton but to date no example has been found marked WALTON.
