Staffordshire figure of a Piping Shepherd Spill Vase

Dated: c. 1820 Staffordshire

Staffordshire figure group in the form of a tree trunk spill vase.
The young boy shepherd is playing a flute whilst attending his flock with his trusty dog.
This pottery figure has lot of appeal and charm and captures the romantic view of the English countryside in the first quarter of the 19th century.
