Slipware pottery tankard late 17th century England

Dated: c. 1675 to c. 1700 England.

17th century earthenware slipware tankard with trailed and combed decoration. The mug is thistle shaped and similar decorated fragments have been located at various sites in Staffordshire The quality decoration on this piece leads to an assessment of date as late 17th century.
