Staffordshire pearlware pottery Royal armorial spill vase with the Walton scroll mark.
This is an extremely rare figure and one of the best examples produced, the detail of modelling, colouring and glaze are exceptional.
The centre of the figure group is a shield with the coat of arms of Great Britain, comprising of three Lions representing England,an Irish harp and a Lion Rampant for Scotland. The base has the legend impressed "DIEU ET MON DROIT"...God and my Might. Sadly the Welsh are not represented on this figure.
