Pair of pottery tea caddies attributed to Thomas Whieldon Fenton Vivian Staffordshire England mid 18th century

Rare pair of pottery creamware bodied tea canisters with relief moulded decoration with coloured oxide and lead glaze. The canisters are in the chinoiserie style with figures in a landscape and a pavilion with panels also decorated with plants and trees. There is a later added silver cover and sleeve around the neck. The pair are in excellent condition and with the canted corners and typical Whieldon type glaze make a strong decorative statement.
