Pair of antique English pottery money banks named and dated Walters Newton Stockton 1866

A rare pair of money boxes or banks each with two slots.
They are decorated with flowers and leaves and were probably wedding gifts.
The boxes bear the names of T.Walter Newton and Ellen.Walters Newton togther with Crown Hotel South Stockton 1866.
Wonderful for the two banks to still be together.
Probably especially ordered and produced at the Middlesborough or one of the Sunderland Potteries in the North East of England.
Dimensions: 5.25 inch wide 4.00 inch high 4.00 inch deep

Current Condition Feet under base restored.

This would indicate that Thomas and Ellen were most probably the Landlords,owners or tennants of the Crown Hotel in 1866.
