A very rare large scale pearlware pottery whistle in the form of a pigeon.
The whistle emits a cooing sound very similar to a pigeon or dove. The figure has elegant lines and fine coloring providing a strong decorative presence .
This exceptional figure is unrecorded in any of the standard references.
