Well modelled pottery figure of a rabbit from the master French artist of the Art Nouveau period Emille Galle.The figure is softly coloured and has a tin glaze (faience) which works well with the figure giving a very soft and appealing texture.
Galle is of course famous for his glass but his iconic comical cats in pottery are strongly admired and collected. A rabbit in pottery is an extremely rare find.
The figure is signed under the base " Galle Nancy ".
