Galle faience pottery pug dog titled Mr le Comte, Nancy France circa 1900 antique period

A very rare pottery model of a seated pug dog by Emile Galle.The dog is modeled in a seated posture and sports a stylish red buckled collar with bells and a tag which has the caption "Mr le Comte". The expressive figure is enhanced with inset glass eyes and is decorated with an exceptionally well painted brindle coat. The figure is signed on the verso Galle Nancy and there is an underglaze blue St Clement mark under Mr.le Comte's belly. A large sized and fine unusual decorative piece from the master French artist.
