Antique pottery cow creamer complete with the figure of a milking maid.
This creamer figure would date to the beginning of the 19th century
Classic early features a fine thin base, good potting and decoration with a good pearlware glaze. The figure has real antique overtones which now render this a good quality folk art piece.There is a small nibble at the tip of one horn and some fritting around the original cover.This creamer is rare on several counts but significantly it is one of the few pieces to come onto the market without restoration.
