English or Welsh antique mocha ware pottery tankard circa 1800

A fine antique pottery mocha tankard with engine turned bands in the centre of the body.
This unusual feature ( the bands are usually present on the rims) gives extra appeal to the simple but sublime decoration.
The tankard is very finely potted and has a good pearlware glaze, denoting an early piece of mochaware originating at the turn of the 18th century.

Current Condition Very fine condition with a minute chip at the top rim which does not warrant attention.
