English deltware pottery dish painted in the manner of James Seymour with a horse and rider and named A.Bosavern Looe above the date 1761 with a bianco -sopra- bianco border.
This rare plate shows Abraham Bosavern a Customs Officer in Polperro, Cornwall, he is recorded as patrolling the coast between Looe and Fowey.
