English delft portrait charger King William probably London 1690-1710 period

A good Delftware commemorative charger.The crowned monarch standing in a suit of armour standing between sponge decorated trees, an orbe and sceptre in each hand, the initials WR flanking his head all within a concentric manganese lined border.
The lead glazed reverse retains a label from the Gautier Collection.
This dish is from a group which shows the monarch dressed in armour holding a sword and another example where the King is robed and holding flowers.

Current Condition Fine condition with only minor restoration to scuffed glaze.

Plate ref.180 British Delft at Williamsburg by John C.Austin illustrates a dish from a group of similar King William pieces. Michael Archer compares to plate 164 and Archer-Morgan pp52-53 no 29 giving a strong English attribution of London or Brislington.
