Early pottery figure of a horse standing on an unusual oval base. British circa 1800

A very rare pearlware glaze pottery figure of a horse modelled standing on an oval base.
The figure is decorated in dark pink and blue and is previously unrecorded with this unusual shaped base. Most of the early horse figures were produced in Newcastle on Tyne although there are features on this figure which suggest a possible Scottish origin.

Dimensions: 6.00 inch wide 6.50 inch high 3.00 inch deep

Medium: pearlware pottery ceramic

Current Condition Restored at ears.

Provenance: Private Collection Cotswolds.
