Antique English earthenware Donyatt Pottery puzzle jug with a good atmospheric glaze.
The jug is inscribed with the name John Hake 1865.
The glaze is richly applied and warm toffee colour.
An interesting feature is the scraffito naive image of a man wearing a hat and smoking a pipe.
Stunning characterful folk art piece in fine condition.
