Creamware pottery figure of a cat from the Bovey Tracey Pottery Devon England circa 1800

A early creamware hollow bodied pottery figure of a cat modelled in a seated position with underglaze tan and chocolate brown slip decoration applied in a naive fashion.
The figure is full of life and character a wonderful rendition of English folk art in pottery from the late 18th century period. Shards of this figure have been located at the Indeo Pottery site Bovey Tracey.

Dimensions: 3.00 inch wide 4.74 inch high 2.50 inch deep

Medium: creamware pottery ceramic earthenware

Current Condition Minor restoration at base.
