Antique Yorkshire pottery figures of cows with attendants c1810 period England
Reference: 5000
Dated: c. 1815 Yorkshire
A fine pair of figures with standing cows and male and female attendants with calf and dog featured on the bases.
The body of the figures is a light buff coloured clay which is decorated with Pratt underglaze colours.
The figures are full of appeal, the dog and calf are naively comical and the girls hat is a wonderful over statement. The sponged decoration and style indicate a Yorkshire pottery provenance.
