A fine 18th century Toby jug with exceptional quality coloured glaze decoration and made by the master potter Ralph Wood of Burslem Staffordshire. The smiling figure is holding a jug of frothing ale and a smoking pipe is resting between his legs. He is wearing a colorful outfit of blue jacket, green waistcoat with yellow and pale blue trousers.

Current Condition Restored minor chip at hat with associated fine hairline and tips of finger on right hand which is
professionally , invisibly and expertly executed.
