Salt glaze pottery stoneware dish decorated with elaborate and inspired relief molding.The pattern has been named Mosaic, basket weave or dot and diaper scroll with dots. The term "Mozaick" is noted in 1755 in the Duke of Bedfords inventory of pieces acquired from Thomas Wheildon. This pattern was adopted by several of the Staffordshire potters in the mid 18thc.
The deep dish is in very clean crisp condition.
