Antique Staffordshire pottery pearlware glazed bust of the English poet Milton.
The figure is very well modelled with very bright enamel colours which are still in fine order.
Such figures would have been made with serious intent but 200 years time has revealed the wonderful folk aspect of the potters art from the early 19th century.
