A fine Staffordshire pottery bust in pearlware of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The figure is extremely well modelled with good attention to detail particularly with the face and the decoration on the tunic.The back of the socle base is impressed in capitals BONAPARTE.
Bonaparte one of the greatest military leaders in Europe. He was finally defeated by the Duke of Wellington at Waterloo in 1815.
