Pearlware Staffordshire pottery pitcher. The jug is named and dated Samuel Collins 1812 Smockington.
Smockington is a small village in Leicestershire England. Samuel Collins was almost certainly a man of the land maybe a farmer or a farm hand.
The jug is decorated profusley with various agricultural tool and implements and a wonderful sheaf of corn.
