Antique English pottery delftware tankard early 18th century period.

Dated: c. 1715 to c. 1725 Bristol or London England

A rare English delftware pottery blue and white mug decorated in the chinoserie style.
Birds and insects amongst flowers and leaves protruding from a rocky outcrop prufusely decorate the tankard. The underside is remarkably and uniquely painted with a figure standing in a basket in a country landscape.

Dimensions: 6.75 inch high

Medium: delft delftware tinglaze pottery earthenware ceramic

Current Condition Unrestored feint and tight hairline at base.
