Antique English pottery bust of Napoleon Bonaparte in Prattware early 19th century

Dated: 1800 to 1810 England

A rare Prattware pottery bust of Napoleon Bonaparte made in Staffordshire circa 1800/10.
The hair is manganese brown and he is wearing a tunic with blue and white facings and mustard coulered epaulets. The figure is mounted on a waisted socle base which has emblems of war in relief.
It is likely that the figure would have been produced at the time of the signing of the Treaty of Amiens in 1803

Dimensions: 5.00 inch wide 8.00 inch high 2.75 inch deep

Medium: Prattware pottery pearlware ceramic

Current Condition Unrestored with feint,stable and old hairline at shoulder.

Provenance: Private collection USA

Literature: Prattware by John and Grisedla Lewis re. page 146 figure refers to a bust of the same form depicting Admiral Duncan which is located in the Royal Pavilion Art Gallery and Museum in Brighton England.
