A fine Staffordshire pottery large size blue and white platter with a gravy well with an underglaze blue and white print of a Naval Night Battle.
The border is decorated with shells continuing the sea theme.
One of the best patterns produced by the English potters in blue and white transfer ware.
An impressive large scale platter.
