Antique English bocage figure known as "Persuasion", Staffordshire Pottery early 19th century period. The figure is well modelled and expertly potted with attention to detail and well applied enamel colours.The dog is watching for the girls decision with an expectancy and slightly longing gaze. An appealing subject with strong decorative substance.
A similar figure is located in the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge England.

Current Condition Some good restoration.
