A rare early example of a creamware pottery stirrup in the form of a fox head.
Interestly the rim band is named in black enamel JOHN FIRTH, a most unusual feature.
The figure is decorated with fine dot incisions which are applied in a restrained elegant manner.
A classic period rendition of the wily fox.
