18th century creamware double walled reticulated teapot named " E. Rogers". Yorkshire /Staffordshire England

An exceptionally rare antique creamware pottery teapot with enamel colours.
The teapot is "double walled" with fine reticulated decoration and named in the band over the spout "E ROGERS". Cylindrical form with a distinctive angular handle and a flower head finial, the outer wall pierced with a circular panel of radiating slits picked out in green, reserved on a purple ground pierced with a honeycomb design, a delicately executed diaper border painted in purple on the shoulder , dates to circa 1770-5 period.

Current Condition Restored at cover minor chip at spout and tip of handle.
